USA Drivers

With the invasion of professional drivers from Japan, there was a small core of grass roots American drivers ready to take their game to the next level as drifting was about to explode into the mainstream automotive scene. Most of these drivers, were relatively unknown in the sport compact industry but are now thrown into the spotlight of the media and the fans.

Alex Pfeiffer
Respected by many as one of the top American drifters, Alex is wild, funny, and at times brutally honest. Alex was a tough competitor in his Battle Version Hachiroku, but now all the drivers will need to look over their shoulders when he drives the RS*R S2000.

Andy Yen
Now driving the Autolink 240SX, Andy was well known for his AE86 that was...how do you say it? Pretty beat up. Yet he took that car to a 1st place win in the 2003 Ikaten drift competition held by Option here in the USA.

Ben Schwartz
Nicknamed "Big Smoke" Ben Schwartz, he is highly improved in the Peak Performance Nissan and also a member of Team Falken

Bryan Norris

Calvin Wan
Calm, cool, and collected, Calvin now drives a Nissan Infiniti G35 and has taken it to the top of the podium at the 2005 Formula D in Sonoma.

Casper Canul
"Viva La Raza" is the catchphrase associated with Casper representing his peeps and his Monster Fabrication S15.

Chris Forsberg
Representing "Drift Alliance", Chris is always a force to be reckoned with including a memorable battle at the Formula D finals lighting up the track in flames as he takes first place.

Chris Milano

Dai Yoshihara
Dai has traveled all the way from Japan to make his mark in the drifting world here in the USA. Training in the touge, he has brought his skills to drive for Pacific Rim and is delivering the goods as a consistent top finisher.

Ernie Fixmer
Ernie started drifting while he was a marine stationed in Japan. Now driving for Team Rotora, his most memorable battle was at the first D1 Grand Prix USA where he pushed #1 driver Yoichi Imamura to the limit.

Hiro Sumida

Hubert Young

Justin Pawlak
Representing in his clean FC, Justin is a fan favorite for rockin the old school

Ken Gushi
At 16 years old, Ken Gushi was the youngest driver ever to qualify for the D1 Grand Prix. He recently became a factory sponsored driver with the new Ford Mustang and already has a Formula D victory under his belt.

Kyle Mohan

Mike Peters aka Bubba Drift

Rhys Millen
Former rally driver, Rhys first came onto the scene drifting his AWD Mitsubishi Evo. He has competed in the Pontiac GTO, then the Pontiac Solstice, but currently leading the charge with his Hyundai Genesis...yes, i said Hyundai.

Rich Rutherford

Rob Fleming

Robbie Nishida

Rod Millen
The father to Rhys Millen, Rod shows that he can drive sideways at well with a strong top 16 showing at Round 1 of the D1 Grand Prix.

Ross Petty
Hailing from Hawaii, Ross has dominated local drift competitions in Hawaii. Now, he looks to compete on the mainland in this sweet RX-7.

Ryan Hampton

Ryan Tuerck
The newest member of the Drift Alliance, Ryan quickly made a name for himself winning the 2009 Formula D Streets of Long Beach.

Samuel Hubinette
The "Crazy Swede" dominated the US drift scene in 2004 taking home the 2004 Formula D Series championship. Due to rule changes he had to swap out his Dodge Viper with a less-tuned version finishing 2nd in 2005 in the points race.

Stephan Papadakis
The drag racing legend is now breaking his way into the drifting scene. He has already proven that he can compete sideways and is probably the most improved driver thus far.

Taka Aono
As a driving instructor for Club 4AG, it takes a lot of skill for Taka to beat the higher horsepower cars with his clean AE86. Definitely one of the top AE86 drifters in the USA.

Tanner Foust
2007 was definitely the year for Tanner, winning the gold medal in X-Games in the Rally X and then finishing up the year as the Formula D Series Champion. Sky's the limit for Tanner and we can't wait to see what he does next...

Vaughn Gittin Jr.
Sporting the Falken Mustang, 2005 was JR's breakout year getting deep into the competition and pushing all the top drivers to the limit. He finished off the 2005 season with a win at the D1 All Stars being the first American ever to win a D1 event.
