X-Factor car show
Posted 2002-04-22 by eight08 Tags: event coverage
The year 2002 had just arrived, and word of an upcoming show for the month of february spread like wildfire through the internet grapevine. So was the rumor of an upcoming car show true? Oh hell yes, otherwise there wouldn't be a page about it within eight08 right now. X-Factor, held at the Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, Kapolei, and promoted by the same people who produced the StreetCar ShowOff this past year. My expectations were kind of high since their previous show had a lot to offer. Did it satisfy my expectations? A definite "yes."
The highly anticipated *ahem* bikini contest started around 9:30 p.m. making all the fellas oooooh, and ahhhhhh as the booty contest followed suite approximately at 10:30 p.m. with a $500 cash prize. Prior to these two particular events, t-shirts and cds were thrown into the crowd igniting the flame to an already hyped up crowd 12 p.m. came around, and it was time to head off to the nearest Zippy's. Too bad the promoters didn't provide any refreshments. They could have made a killing on marking up the prices of food and drinks. Leaving the show was a chore all in itself as spectators of the show slowly inched their way out of the parking lot. Nearing the ending of the parking lot, I noticed glow sticks moving in the air within the confines of the show as we headed out the parking lot, as a different type of tune echoed throughout the area. Could this have been the raving aspect of the show that a few had said, that I don't know All in all, it was a $10 entrance fee well spent. |

Dope imports ranging from Show all the way to Go were the main staple at XFACTOR, but not to be outdone, euros, domestics, bikes, and trucks either lifted or slammed also represented in full force. The rides of Eurotechnics definitely caught my eyes this time around, which I'm sure did with others. Along with the rides, one could find booths from 808rides, zoomxhawaii, RevTek, as well as a wide range of crews, models, and dj's going ballistic in the mix. Mad props to the fellas and ladies of aznlyfe.com, a majority of the entries at the car show were flaunting their sticker... aznlyfe.com everywhere including at their booth.
