Another team/car that's going to be competing in the Live Sockets Battle Series is the Factor X NSX. Here's the lowdown on this exceptional car that the team has built. Honda started production of the NSX in 1990 with an all-aluminum chassis and body, mid-engine, rear wheel drive, and a V6 engine with VTEC. Back in those days, this car was 1 of the best handling sports car money can buy. When the time came, Factor X bought a 1991 NSX and transformed it to a time attack car.
Factor X took home the overall win at the Super Lap Battle on the Streets of Long Beach earlier this year against the likes of the C-West/BC/Hankook S2000 and the AMS Evo VIII. The car is undergoing a rebuild for the season and this time with everything in place, Factor X will be ready to make their run back to the top of the field. This car features a wide body kit, new aerodynamic parts, and turbo motor. The driver behind this NSX is none other than Billy Johnson. Over the last five years, Billy has raced in the Grand Am Rolex, Grand Am Cup/Koni Challenge, Speed World Challenge, Formula Star Mazda Pro, Formula BMW, Skip Barber Regional and National Series, Super Street Time Attack, Redline Time Attack and many import tuner shootouts and competitions for magazines.We'll see how fast Factor X can lap the Roval course at California Speedway on July 20, 2008.
