This is the first in a series of features on the cars, teams and drivers that will be competing in the Live Sockets Battle Series on July 20th at California Speedway in conjunction with the Redline Time Attack Series. Stay tuned as the full roster is revealed.

This car started its life as any other Honda S2000. Honda engineered the S2000 to be a fast compact roadster. It’s got a high output 2.0 liter engine, 6 speed transmission, in-wheel double wishbone suspension, high x-bone frame, ideal 50/50 weight distribution, etc.

The car was stripped down to bare metal and seam welded in order to make it as light as possible without sacrificing safety. Using a dry-carbon process, C-West designed a body kit for this car to achieve maximum downforce while keeping it lightweight.

The car is currently running on Tein suspension with Hankook C91 tires to put all that power to the ground. This car is currently the Buttonwillow champ and we will see if it can take the California Speedway title as well.

Tyler McQuarrie will be driving this car in the Live Sockets Battle Series and it will be interesting to see what he can do with it on the roval course which tend to favor high hp cars. Besides, competing in drifting and time attack events, Tyler has been involved in many types of racing including sports car racing in the American LeMans series, sprint cars and karting.
